Rock the Vintage Vote- Political Pinback Button Wreath

Rock the Vintage Vote- Political Pinback Button Wreath

If you live in the States, then you may have noticed that it’s an election year. There’s an awful lot of anger and ugliness associated with it, so here’s my attempt to diffuse the bitter divide with a bi-partisan upcycling project. Washington may not be able to cross the aisle, but Sadie can!

I have to thank my good friend, Kate DiNatale Vintage, for inspiring this project. Many, many moons ago, she gifted me with some vintage vote ribbon/straps. Oh Say Cane You See: Oversized Cross Stitch American Flag

This, my friends, is an absolute first for me- truly a case of trash to treasure…

There we were…just getting started on a Saturday road trip- the sun was rising, the dew was fresh, and we were in search of treasures and fun and adventure.

As we merged onto a blissfully open road, we spied a pile of rubble to the side of the on-ramp. Literally- right there in the curving shoulder next to I-385.

Vintage Bandana Bowl Covers

Summertime- particularly around Memorial Day or July 4th– is typically dotted with any number of BBQs, picnics, and outdoor parties. DIY Repurposed Patriotic Necktie Wreath

Well, this will come as no surprise, but my love of all things necktie continues. I’ve amassed a hefty collection from thrift stores and have posted one craft previously (DIY wine gift bags).
