Christmas Merry-go-Round: Vintage Postcard Carousel

Christmas Merry-go-Round: Vintage Postcard Carousel

Back in January of this year, I was thrifting at my local Habitat ReStore and spotted a spinning photo frame that was in excellent condition. I was fresh off a Christmas high, with several “coulda, shoulda, woulda” holiday project ideas bouncing around in my head. But it was January and time to move on, right?

Nope. I put the frame in my cart and filed away this Christmas idea for a later time…and finally, FINALLY, that time is now.Read more ›

Seasongoods Greetings: Vintage Christmas Tree Delivery Truck

Seasongoods Greetings: Vintage Christmas Tree Delivery Truck

Boy, it’s hard to find an affordable antique toy truck nowadays- maybe it’s always been difficult, but it’s especially impossible now that everyone loves incorporating them into their vintage Christmas décor. They look deliciously cute hauling a bottlebrush tree, evoking memories of driving into the woods, cutting a tree down, and bringing it home.

So I’ve been on the lookout all year long for the perfect truck- and I simply refused to spend $100 on one, but that’s the norm.  I finally found the perfect one on Etsy- it was affordable because it was broken! But as soon as I saw it, I knew that the missing parts (i.e., dump truck mechanism) opened the door to a new project for me. This post contains affiliate links for your crafting convenience.
