Earlier this month, I did a repurposing-based video shoot for a local thrift store. I have to admit, this project is a play on an idea I saw on Pinterest. The original idea involved an antique oil can, with a large industrial spindle slid onto the long spout. Then, rolls of jute were pushed onto the spindle- and ta-da, a pin holder!
I loved the idea, but I was a little concerned about placing an old oil can on my dresser. Sure, I have a handful of them- but they’ve stayed untouched because I’m not overly excited about finding a way to clean them…and possibly drain them, as needed.
