So Charming: Vintage Rhinestone Button Bracelet

So Charming: Vintage Rhinestone Button Bracelet

Oh my gosh, it’s January already- how is that even possible? Happy 2017! And to start the new year off right, I’m doing it with sparkles.

I had seen versions of this idea floating around on Pinterest and just KNEW I had to make my own. I’ll be the first to admit that I actually prefer vintage rhinestone ANYTHING over real diamonds- crazy, I know! Anyway, this is wonderfully easy to make…the hardest part is actually collecting the vintage rhinestone buttons! But over time, I gathered a handful of pretties in different shapes and sizes. The common denominator (other than rhinestones, of course) is that they were all shank buttons.

Craft Stash Flower Brooches

Craft Stash Flower Brooches

After taking a lengthy break from jewelry-making projects, I decided it was time for me to delve back into it- hope you don’t mind! I’ve made plenty of bracelets and necklaces…but never brooches or pins, so let’s rectify that right now! This post contains affiliate links for your crafting convenience.

I was perusing Pinterest when I came across this adorable idea from Mollie Makes– a flower brooch made from fabric and buttons! And while my inspiration used new materials, I decided to raid my stash of vintage fabrics and buttons- of course! I had plenty of vintage shank buttons on hand, and for my petal-fabric, I gathered the scraps of old feed / flour sacks that I already had on hand after making my Spool Pendants.
