Craft Junk Giveaway – October 2018

Craft Junk Giveaway – October 2018

Can you believe that it’s time again for a Craft Junk Giveaway? And that it’s the last one this year? If you’re new to the concept, I wrangle up some of my favorite blogging friends and we all fill boxes with everything upcycling and crafting. We do this quarterly, creating “Craft Junk” giveaway boxes full of vintage pieces, thrift store treasures, and a few fun DIY supplies!

And now that October is officially here, that means it’s time for the fourth and final quarterly craft supply giveaway of 2018. So, let me show you how my giveaway box came together…

I wanted to anchor my craft junk box with one nice piece that could stand a makeover (or not- winner’s choice!), and this time around, I selected this little musical jewelry box.

A fun little treasure…

It’s in really good condition, and features metal screen on the door and when the bottom drawer is pulled open, it plays “Lara’s Theme” from Dr. Zhivago. Cute, right?

From there, I assembled a few other “project pieces”, including a fun red license plate, some industrial bobbins, Jell-o molds, and a HUGE collection of wooden Scrabble tiles.

MORE TREASURES!

Now…these treasures filled up the box pretty well on their own, so there wasn’t much room for crafting supplies- but I tossed in a few bits and pieces where I could.

All the goodies!

To cap it off, I added a few vintage linens from my stash. Fair warning, they are NOT ironed…hope you don’t mind!

Oooh, pretties…

And there you go…my Craft Junk Box is all packed up and ready to send to someone.

What a darling little jewelry box. My granddaughter would love this and having fun making it over as well. Rest of the items in your box are pretty awesome as well.

  4. I think this is a great idea, I just said to my son, “what am I going to do with all these craft supplies”. I would love to participate in future Junk Craft giveaways. Put me on your list, please.

  5. I live in a small apartment so can not collect any more craft junk but your wooden jewelry box made me think of Professor Mcgonagall (Harry Potter’s teacher at Hogwarts). I wonder what her digs at Hogwarts look like? Would she need something like this for some of her magical paraphernalia? I hope someone does something magical with this….

  6. Happy Sunday! I cannot believe it’s already mid-October either. You have put together another great and very generous giveaway box. I am in love, with the old red license plate! Thank you for the opportunity to enter and for sharing all your great ideas and projects.

  7. I am pretty new to your blog so this Craft Junk Giveaway is totally new to me, but I LOVE the idea! So I hope you will continue with it ( and I hope the winner posts a picture of what they make with the goodies!). I loved that musical jewelry box when I saw it and then when you said it plays “Lara’s theme” I was blown away, because our daughter is named Lara and she was named after the Lara in Dr. Zhivago! Yes, really, truly 🙂

  8. Rita Corblies says:

  11. OMG what an awesome collection of goodies! I hope I win. I already have projects planned for the items! My brain is spinning!!

  12. Diane Palumbo says:

I love taking “junque” and turning them into treasures.

  13. What a great pile of goodies! I am so surprised you could part with the stack of wooden books; they just scream incantations/spells, wizardry stuff to me for Halloween! I want to try upcycling a jewelry box in a pastel (like light pink or turquoise). Your linens are OK unironed; they’ll only get wrinkled enroute anyway! I am ramping up crafting for our Nov. church Christmas bazaar. Housework has gone south! Oh, well!

  14. Wow, this is the best giveaway box I have seen. I Would buy every single item you included in your box.

  15. Nancy Shepard says:

I’m new to your site/blog, but YES! I would love to see you continue the giveaways! I love your style and creativity. Thank you for sharing!!

  16. Your box is always so awesome!!!! Thanks for hosting this super fun giveaway!
