Type “photo transfer to wood” into Google or Pinterest, and you’ll be amazed at how folks are doing this. Using gel medium or Mod Podge Photo Transfer, it is really easy to take a color copy of your photo and transfer it onto a piece of wood, creating a trendy, rustic way to display photographs.

I decided to try this with an old photo of my grandparents and their gang of pals- a 1931 photo my grandmother labeled as “The Gang and the Lincoln”.
