A couple of years ago, I attended my first Country Living Fair in Atlanta and just had a terrific time. If you’ve never been to a CLF before, here’s what you need to know: they are HUGE events and it’s impossible to see everything in one day…and the booths are amazing, so you’ll be plunking down some hard-earned dollars for unique treasures that you just may never find again. So when I had the chance to attend this year’s Fair in Lebanon, Tennessee (just outside of Nashville), I jumped at the chance!
For months leading into Spring, I’ve had a heavy calendar filled with craft fairs and vintage markets, taking me around South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, and Tennessee. And I’m very sorry to say that I’ve hit my last festival of the season- the Retropolitan Craft Fair in Knoxville, Tennessee.
I seriously love to explore new markets, meeting new vendors and finding new small businesses and start-ups to follow and buy from. And even though I don’t vend at these shindigs, I do feel as though I’m part of this fun, friendly community.Read more ›
If I could paint you a picture of my perfect day, it would look this: sunny and mild (temps in the low 70s)…a drive through the mountains…and a vintage-y festival to fill my day. And you know what? That’s exactly the day I had when I explored the Spring 2015 Bee Happy Vintage Market in Asheville, North Carolina!
As you may recall, I’ve already professed to you my love of Asheville. So I had high hopes for this new-to-me vintage festival (hosted by Bee Happy Wares & Whimsies), held within the delightful Biltmore Village. Ya’ll know I love to explore new markets, meet new vendors, and procure new treasures- and I’m happy to say I did all three of these on this blissful day!
So, who did I meet and what kinds of treasures did I discover? Let’s find out…Read more ›
If you put together one part vintage, one part craft, one part upcycling, and one part farm-on-a-rolling-countryside, you’ll get the makings of a FANTASTIC annual festival that those of us in the know call the Farm Fresh Fair. Located at the Farm on Rabon Creek in Fountain Inn, South Carolina, the Farm Fresh Fair is quickly becoming one the preeminent vintage fairs in the South.
It was highlighted in Garden & Gun Magazine after all…
So when the date rolled around again, my friends and I gathered the troops and headed to the Farm.
