Heart Beater: Vintage Valentines Décor

Heart Beater: Vintage Valentines Décor

So…Valentine’s Day isn’t much of a holiday in our house, truth be told. We’re pretty lovely-dovey all the time (I know, go ahead and roll your eyes) and I NEVER decorate for it. But…I had a holiday project idea rattling around in my head that just wouldn’t quit. AND it involved something I’d never repurposed or upcycled before: an antique, heart-shaped rug beater.  Read more ›

Gardening Garb Clip Board

Gardening Garb Clip Board

I will be the first to admit that this project is pretty darn simple. But it evolved from a very real need- actually, a *few* very real needs. First, I was in my crafting room and emerged determined to use up some of my supplies…and second, I have a TERRIBLE habit of ripping off my gardening gloves in the garage, tossing them about, and then having a devil of a time finding them again.

The same goes for old grain, feed, and flour sacks- cotton, linen, or burlap, we just seem to love them all.

I have to give credit where credit is due, and Country Living magazine came up with this first. I fell in love with this project the moment I saw it, and I knew it was a craft I needed to attempt. Our dining room needs more wall décor, and an embroidered feed sack (or 2) would be fitting (dining room…feed sack…) and quirky.Read more ›

Window Frame Decor using Crochet Doilies

Window Frame Decor using Crochet Doilies

Our entire Master Bedroom (and frankly, my blog) was inspired by an old chippy door panel that I found at shop called Piccadilly Prairie, located in Minneapolis, MN. Isn’t that crazy? But it’s true…this chippy piece of gorgeousness inspired the window frame decor you’re about to see…AND it inspired my entire blog!Read more ›
