No matter how old I get, my mom still loves receiving handmade gifts from me. Whether they are for Mother’s Day, her birthday, or Christmas, handmade gifts are always a hit for her. And given everything going on in the world right now, it’s an ideal time to think about handmade ideas to use as DIY Gifts for Mom.
For instance last year, I upcycled a pair of clip on earrings into a matching set of “hers and hers” necklaces to share with my mom.
But I’ve also made other upcycled crafts that could double as DIY gifts for mom, as well. Such as these wine charms that I made with vintage Cracker Jack toys.
Either way, there are countless upcycling projects that would work as great mother’s day gifts. Especially when shopping options are limited and you’re spending loads of time at home.
So, I’ve gathered a bunch of ideas from my favorite blogger friends that double as thoughtful gifts for mom. I hope you’ll find an idea here that will be suitable for your mom (or daughter or sister or wife!). Or, perhaps you’ll simply be inspired and make something completely different!
No matter what you do, you can’t really go wrong if your heart is in the right place with a handmade gift for Mother’s Day.

Don’t forget- Father’s Day isn’t all that far away, either! And you may be looking for some creative ideas for him, as well.

Thanks so much for including my sewing pattern bookmarks in your round-up Sarah! Much appreciated. I enjoyed visiting some of the other projects and, of course, always enjoy seeing yours 🙂
As soon as I saw them, I knew they’d be perfect. I hope the traffic they sent resulted in some new subscribers!
As a mom, let me say thank you for the cute Mother Day gift ideas. I will be forwarding these ideas to my husband and teen son.
Hurray!!!
