35+ Upcycling Projects for Fall Wreath Ideas

35+ Upcycling Projects for Fall Wreath Ideas

Once the calendar flips over to a new year, I start the “Countdown to Fall” clock in my head. Honest to goodness, I spend all year looking forward to the first cool day after a hot summer. And once that day arrives, I can’t wait to welcome it on my front door. So, I decided to gather some of my favorite upcycling projects for autumn and fall wreath ideas.

And front door wreaths- especially those for Fall- can use the most unexpected wreath supplies.

For instance, my leather arrow quiver and wooden arrows made for a unusual DIY fall wreath, to say the least…

As unusual as it was, though, it totally worked! And I still use this from time to time because as old as it is, it just never goes out of style.

I also upcycled the lid of a wood cheese box into a rustic fall wreath, as well.

And it’s not just generic fall wreaths that I’ve made in the past. How about this Thanksgiving wreath, which I made by upcycling things that just happened to be next to each other on a thrift store shelf.

But my DIY fall wreaths are just the tip of the iceberg. There are a TON of fall wreath ideas out there, each one unique and festive.

From using rusty junk, to making a pumpkin wreath, to using colorful corn and unexpected thrift store items. So, I hope you find some autumn inspiration in the ideas below!

See what I mean? Wreath supplies for a harvest wreath run the gamut- Bundt pans, straw hats, ceiling medallions, and so forth.

I even included a fall wreath idea in my book, “Crafting with Flannel”. It’s perfect for all of your leftover fabric scraps!

And I love each of them, in their own enchanting way. Think you’ll be working on one of these front door wreaths for your front door?

  1. Me too!! I count the days until September 1 when fall begins for me, whether it is still warm or not, LOL!! We had a cool spell this week and I am in the mood for those colorful leaves and warm colors of autumn. I have several wreath ideas on my blog too, some using pine cones.

  2. Loved this post! Bottles are very cute and do-able; also really nice to go back thru some of your past posts, the glassware painted with alcohol inks are really pretty. Keep up the good work and thank you!
